It is our preference that dancers not miss any rehearsals; we don't have any extra rehearsal time padded into the schedule. The various groups only have one month to learn their roles before the rehearsals to meld all the individual dances into a scene and full production. Especially for the younger dancers, it also affects the group when dancers miss rehearsal.
If you have to miss a rehearsal, fill out the form linked below at least at least one rehearsal week in advance. You are only allowed 2 absences. The absences cannot be consecutive, during the last 3 weeks of rehearsal, or dress or tech rehearsal. If your dancer is sick the day of rehearsal, call the PTB phone number at 916-630-7820 and leave a message. Do this as soon as possible, not 15 minutes before rehearsal. We do not want any ill dancers at rehearsal, but illness-missed rehearsals do count as a missed rehearsal, so please be very judicious with your planning.
